Does anyone know real weight of the ready-to-launch boat?
I want to buy Sun runner 220SB (1985) but I am worry about towing.
My Grand Cherokee has 5000lb limit.

Found dry weight in NADA, iboats and ABOS... They said 2800Lb (+800Lb trailer+500lbgas, water etc), so its fit...theoretically
What is in real life? How real weight of the ready-to-launch boat comparing with dry weight in NADA?

Re: Real weight of the boat

I think that you have accounted reasonably well for all the components of the total weight. Maybe add a few hundred pounds for gear, etc. in addition to the 500 of fuel & water.

So, you are in the low-mid 4,000 range (like 4,400). Seems to be OK for the 5,000 towing capacity.

Unless your boat is filled with 'stuff' or has some water retention issues, you should expect your weight to be as you calculated it.

FWIW - I had a vehicle rated for 7,000 lbs and towed about 6,500 (according to my calculations)
