1988 Sunrunner Steering Problems

can someone please help me,i have a 1988 sunrunner 235weekender,boat runs excellent im just having sum steering issues.the steering is very tight can anyone offer some suggestions on solving this matter? does these boats take power steering fluid,if so wheres the pump located? Well what motor are you running that will tell us where the power steering pump is on your model. Also check that the cable from the steering wheel is not binding or catching on anything as it runs towards the aft of the boat.
