Just found this forum and hope it will be a good source of information which is becoming hard to find for SunRunner owners. I've owned a 1988 235 Weekender for the past 22 years, but she's getting a little "long in the tooth" and will be needing some help in the near future. Look forward to sharing any info I might have that could help out a fellow boater.

Can anyone tell me what model of Sunrunner I have? I see other people on here saying ( 275,235 weekender,195cv), stuff like that. All my father in-law can tell me is that's it's a Sunrunner Cuddy Cabin 18'.

Post Pics.....
If its 18 ft its not a 235 weekender or 275. the numbers are indicative to the length of the boat. Out of those three options the closest one would be a 195cv

Hey Sun Runners! Glad I found you all. We bought what our registration says is a 1986 310SB (Sunbridge). Unfortunately, I do not believe it is a 1986, and I am unsure about its length. Perhaps some of you folks can help me out. We have two rebuilt Chevy 350's with VP AQ290s fully rebuilt by me this year. The original drives were so corroded away from a life in salt, I bought used fresh water drives and totally rebuilt them. I also had to replace the steering fork bushings and the helmet position wheels, tracks and sensors. The previous owner scrapped the 6.5kw generator. I bought a used one to rebuild. Anyone know where I can get a good bimini top? All the teak needs to be redone. Fresh water has a leak. The hot water heater is totally disconnected. The crusair AC raw water pump is toast. But, the interior is all original and in good shape. My wife is reupholestering the cushions. Should have her in the water by end of June. I do have the original wiring diagrams and the volvo penta shop manual if anyone needs. I also have the stove manual, icemaker manual, water heater manual(i think).
Good to know you are all here. Felt so alone, not owning a SeaRay or Bayliner.

PS: I am looking for the original l shaped couch for this boat. Any condition.

Welcome! check out the NADA site for length. I own a 235 weekender and NADA states it to be 22 feet, however with the swim platform and pulpit it measures near 25 feet length overall. As for a bimini top I would check out your local canvas/upholstery shop for best fit.

Thanks Brian,
NADA says 30 ft. but one problem I have is the pictures I see of the 86 doesnt look like mine. Our boat looks like the 85 model. Yes, I think a Canvas shop is in order.

Went out late last year on my 235 Weekender, the 1st pump, Sherwood raw water pump, started giving bearing noise as verified w/ WD-40, so as it started leaking out the rear seal, pretty good trickle w/ the engine off, decided to pull out & go home early. Did spend one night night on it. Nice with a mini fridge & AC installed.
30" flat screen. an 1200 watt inverter runs all the 125 Vac stuff. Now time to install the NEW Sherwood pump finally. I had to wait for the hottest part of the year, that is the next 2 months here in Texas. It has a 350Ci 40 hour old rebuilt long block that actually moves very well. Very small gas tank, I believe no more than 40 gallons. Not very good for offshore fishing. But it was $5k and always stored inside. Wish I could have a hard top!! Good luck all.

Bought this 1987 Sun Runner 296 this past February. Has twin Volvo Penta 225s (rebuilts). No owner/user manual came with it so its trial and error for gauges, switches, etc. Looking for anyone that has a manual or a link to a site that has information. Otherwise pleased with the boat. Her name? She has a wine color stripe along the hull and interior color, so she is now named the Marilyn Merlot, Huntington Beach, CA.
I see no recent posts, so I am hopeful we can start up this blog if for no other reason, just to chat and share Sun Runner ideas, comments, etc.

Hi all, I've just bought a Sun runner 38SB with twin 7.4's. I'm in the UK and as I'm sure you can imagine, there is not a lot of info on this boat over here! I'm hoping that someone can point me in the direction of an owners manual however any info will be gratefully received, thanks Scott
