How to remove bow seat backs on 2000 220lx?????

I have a 2000 220lx and the hand rail has become loose and I dont know how to get to it. Looked to remove the bow seat back cusions but it looks like they are screwed to the bow going from inside the cusion thru the bow. I dont see how that is possible. Any help????
