Chinewalker: Thanks for the reply. You nailed the motor, it is a 1969 and is not original to the boat. I just put it on this spring. I bought the boat with a 1966 100hp merc. The registration says 1970 but I cannot find a manufacturers info plate on it anywhere. When I was researching the model I came across a picture of an American but wasn't sure because (If I remember right) they said it was an 80's model. Anyway in the grand scheme of things I guess the model really doesn't matter as long as it serves the purpose that I purchased it for. I really appreciate every ones input.
