thanks guys,

any idea what year this rude is by chance?

00P0P_l7goIdj98Cu_50x50c.jpg

its on a junked glasser with controls, unknown if key is with it. Might see it today. the usually buddy left me a boat I know nothing about it but supposedly it ran before tearing the floor out the boat story. Hes asking 800, last night said 500, but the only value I see is a 200-300$ trailer, and a maybe parts motor for ? if its shot.

Whoa my eyes aren't that good

Ya, lol, i hoped it would come out normal size. I ended up not seeing it today, I tried but the wife had a contact go bad and the kids got cranky in the car so we aborted trying to locate the lot it was on. after researching more, I dont really think he would take what I would offer for an unknown motor condition on a boat thats only worth the dump. If its listed for awhile I might try later on. Im thinking its a late 70's model though.

few updates I got, I was on 24 hr shift again this sunday so if this is confusing forgive me. im goin on 30 hours awake. First id like to say 5200 is salvageable. I use a tiny drill bit to reuse a stuffed tube. Only problem is I was impatient and nicked the side of tube it obiosly leaked out. But I used what I had in there to re seal the bench seats down to complete the job.

Nice shots. Looks a lot like Merrymeeting Bay here just a couple of miles away from me. This used to be one of the top migratory waterfowl spots in NA, with a rich cultural heritage in hunting. Still not too bad, but time has taken its toll. The Bay is the area I hope to use the Starchief to explore thoroughly. There is a book by Frank Burroughs that you should read that describes the duck hunting heritage here..

He is a casual acquaintance and a good guy. He used to own the house we live in.

Does every potential motor for sale in the price range I am looking for really run fine, "just needs the carbs cleaned"? Its like every single motor for sale in the south east. Ran fine last time, but now needs the carbs cleaned. Buy today for a steal, or ill clean the carbs and charge 500$ more tomorrow. perfect psi all cylinders, But ya gotta clean the carbs first.

Man, its killin me. :smash:

Hey gone whats that ladder for?

I was thinking that maybe you use it when you run out of shot shells, just extend it, climb up and use a lawn rake to knock the ducks down.

Get a motor on there and she'll be all set for some serious water fouling. :thumb:
