You deconstructions is coming along nicely. Hopefully you can breathe some life back into the 110.

Nice! it looks like the original mahogany bow cover supports are still good up there.

I see you have the cabin and bow cover off, are you going "all the way" with your Chief like I did mine and remove even the gunnels? I found that 90% of the gunnel rivets were either loose or corroded and was glad I took that extra step, it really made the boat more solid in the end. I even took the Z bracket off the transom bottom and found it was loaded with corrosion and in need of repair too.

Keep up the forward progress :encouragement:

Yikes guys, sorry I've been MIA, thanks for all the input though! Bow supports are good, but I plan on a reinforcing. Gunnels were removed, and most of the rivets were loose. I asked about the head because I've got two "thru-hull" fittings in the bow, and I wasn't sure if they were stock, and I was considering patching them. I decided to keep them, although I won't be installing a head.

We've got primer on the topside!

Still have drive train issues, after all this work I've decided I can't bolt on the IA '64 Merc leg in good conscience. Shopping for a donor.

Looking like you've been making some progress. :thumb:

Yeap a donor with the Alpha One late 80's forward is a very good idea. The 3.0 L are pretty common finds at least around here.

I don't believe the bolt pattern and keyhole changed until the Alpha One.

Man she looks great out in the sun! :thumb:

Thanks guys! The only reason I've gotten this far is because of you guys. I've been giving the search function quite a workout.
I'm still hard at it. The donor boat I bought had a sweet 20gal aluminum belly tank that didn't quite fit under my deck. I hated to do it, but I pulled up my decking and just finished fastening down 1" square aluminum tubing down the stringers and rib-ends. BTW.... an 8' stick of that aluminum was $32 at lowes.....I paid $36 for four sticks at a local metal company!

I cut out a new keyhole shape and drilled a couple of new holes for my new-to-me MR-1 drive. FYI, the bottom 4 holes lined up, the top two needed to be raised. '64 IA drive to an '84 MR-1.

I got the transom assembly mounted, man it feels good to see something hanging off the back of this boat again!
Rub rails are mostly in....turns out 50' is NOT enough to do this boat. Did I measure? No. Hah. I have the ~10' strip down the lower port side to do still....I haven't got a plan yet since it seemed as though 50' was the smallest increment you could buy. Anyone know of a company that sells by the foot?

My windshield situation is going well, here is a pic of it mocked up. Should be mounted tomorrow.
Got a running 140 ready to go in also!

If it wasn't for reflections, the windshield looks invisible. Nice job on that and the polishing.
