Just picked this up. Was wondering if you guys could help id the model.
No ID tag on the gunnel.
6'6 Beam
Just under 16' long. (Measuring straight from transom to bow)
Hope the pics come out, I have been having problems with Photobucket.
Thanks! Scraft1_zps6f80451a.jpg Scraft2_zps12e18ec6.jpg Scraft3_zps0d3455b8.jpg

It is the same hull as the 16'SS. It looks like the consoles are missing but I see a blank slate. You could create a CC or any other fishing design you want.

Good find

My guess would be a Mariner CC. Don't look in to bad a shape either. Good luck with her.

+1 on it being a 16' mariner.

Raised Bow deck is a dead giveaway.

Nice project!

It's not an Islander or Chieftain.

Do you have any paperwork to narrow down the year? Then you could start cruising the brochures, but I think Bob and Willy are on the scent. For my guess - With the patch on the deck (CC location??) and the high bow rail, I'll say Mariner.

Mariner was my bet as well although I didn't know they made them in 16'rs (18 & 21), early 70's model possibly.

Could this be one of the ever elusive 16' Star Trek V's?

Don't think the Mariner's ever came with side panels like those. Most had rod holders on the sides.

Wires coming out of the Starboard panel?

Is there a HIN below the starboard transom cap?

Maybe a FM 160. Top boat in pic.

I don't think that front deck looks factory......but the patch on the floor suggests mariner

No numbers found under either transom caps, Should be getting the paperwork this weekend. Hopefully will help with the ID.

I'm going to go with the most prolific SC, she's an SS that's been gutted.

after reviewing the Pre-76 (side rub rails) brochures, I changed my vote...also agree with Agua/64. The wide beam and "hack-signs" near where the consoles would reside. Gutted-SS :)

Since I don't want to be on the losing side and she isn't a Mariner, I'm changing my vote too. :beaten: Bob_VT nailed it in the very first reply. She's a gutted 16' SS or as some like to think - A blank canvas, which Bob also noted in the post. :thumb:

Nice project! The sidewalls look identical to the ones in my boat but unfortunately I am trying to identify my boat as well!
