Any suggestions how I should re-attach the padded bumper pads around the perimeter of interior? They were gone when I found her.

I'm just about to that point on my restore... probably in the next week or so. I thought I'd use 1/4 20 stove pipe bolts through some 1/4" ply with some pading and vinyl.

They make a threaded insert...1/4-20 that you put in the plywood, then the s.s. 1/4-20 round flat head screw... i seen them at H.D. and i also picked some up at ace hardware.

I also used the s.s fender washers and s.s. nylock nuts. The inserts are galvinized and i painted them before i put the fabric on.

Going to leave the inside of my gunnels just painted. I don't see myself needing to stand there leaning against them long enough to need padding since I don't get seasick. :heh:

Mine are painted 1986.
Another suggestion is let the cabin door swing in, I love this change.
