Where can I find the construction details, wiring diagrams ect. for a 15 foot super sport?
There has been changes made by the previous owner and I would like to bring her back to original condition if possible.
Is there an access hatch in the floor to visually inspect whats under the deck?
I appreciate any and all input .
Thanks,
Steve

The best place to find construction details is look through the SS restoration threads here - http://forums.iboats.com/starcraft-boats/starcraft-rebuilds-restorations-theyre-all-here-494143.html

It's doubtful you will find any wiring diagrams, but there are some generic diagrams here. If your looking for motor wiring, a manual for the motor is the best bet.

Don't think there is any access hatch. About the the only thing you might find is a ski locker, but in a 15 foot SS, that's doubtful.

Post some pictures and you will get better info.

In 1984 you wont see anything under the deck but pour in flotation foam. Pretty sure the Starmada can cover any questions you may have about your boat

I doubt there was much variation in the layout for 1983, except color of course:

Because few changes from 1982:

A few 1984 SS pix here:

Is it a 1984 or 1985:

No need to start a new thread for each facet of a build, having it all together will make a better reference for you to look back to later. But if you prefer, seperate them. But wiring questions lead to motor hookup, console layout & gauge questions, that affects the size & style of the console, which if modified can affect the windshield alignment. All sort of ties together.

Not much more value in a factory accurate 1984 SC restore, if any more. Tin boats are fairly straight forward & can be built to suit how YOU WANT to use it & how you want it to look.

hi Steve, welcome to the madness.

JB is right on there. these things are great and functional but they ain't a '64 split window VW bus....no real "collector" value even with the 60s and 70s models, so treat the boat as a tabla rasa and build what YOU want.

you'd find any wiring diagram to be useless. these have all had so much previous-owner electrical modifications (usually AKA butchery) that you usually have to figure it out by tracing wires and/or using an ohm meter to find the two ends of same wire. or you can gut the electrics and do it right from the beginning.
