How to fix moeller 12 gal portable tank?? Threads under gas cap cracked near base.

So I bought a used 12 gallon tank in great shape -so I thought for $25. Now when I went to use it I noticed that the
threaded end that the cap screws onto is split near the base. I searched all morning for replacement fill threads but have found nothing.

Has anyone repaired these threads before??
What type of epoxy can I use that will not break down with the gas??

Try contacting the manufacturer and explain the problem, they can think you are the original owner. I do know they replace tanks that split at the seams. You would need a flexible material for the expansion and contraction that these tanks go thru. I am not aware of anything that will stick to the material that the tanks are made from as I have tried to repair that type of plastic before.
