Re: 1986 ss 201
Really Nice boat. She should last you a LONG time.
Really Nice boat. She should last you a LONG time.
Nice Glen!
Hey, I just noticed those photos of your boat work up on the wall there, great inspiration for the task(s) at hand huh? :thumb:
Awesome! That porta-potty situation is great. I wish I had gotten a larger bimini for mine.
That porta potty solution is awesome. You're def your showing your feminine side with all that sewing skill.
Just a thought....some detachable fabric sides for the Bimini would be awesome also. They would block a lot of sunlight if at times, you wanted complete shade under the Bimini.
The Admirals Sitting Room - Nice touch. Looks like you're getting to the final item on the punch list, waiting for soft water.
Really Nice boat. She should last you a LONG time.
The only thing missing in the crapper is some reading material and scented candles
Incredible job!!
Hey Glen buddy.... as always awesome work man! You are an inspiration to us all. Your work shows not just how well it can be done but what can be done in many, many cases!
Love the low profile tires, the bimini and the doody room! It can't be long now before you stop plowing and starting splashing!
So... gotta ask... what's happening to the "little" boat???? Staying? Going?
Jim
Hey Glen just awesome, tires and wheels look great, really good idea on porto and the bimini top straps, did you buy the bimini or did it come with the boat, going to buy one for my boat, looked on the site you mentioned in Quebec, they have pretty reasonable prices. guess you're almost ready for the splash, I see your weather is like ours lousy, but going to be in the pluses this weekend and next week so hopefully I can get a few things done also. You're going to be bored till the water gets soft now that you're almost done, do you have another project in mind??
All great stuff happening w/ the bimini, privacy curtain turned out great. Adding the privacy curtain side walls is a great idea too.
Excellent. Hope those low profile tires are speed rated, when the soft water shows up again, it'll be full speed ahead
Glen, Great idea for the bimini attachment. Better for fishing and IMO, better for getting in and out of the boat. I am always concerned about getting clothes lined or tripping over the straps.
Always good to have trailer tires rated for a higher speed than one's truck can go!
J.
So that Bimini is 8' long? Any chance we can get a straight on side pic? How tall is it from the floor and from the gunnels? I was planning on an 8'er as well....
Motor is in, wiring is figured out, trim works the way it is supposed to finally. New water pump is installed. Waiting for a new ign coil, and a transducer swtich for the Humminbird, The Minnkota has a built in transducer, and I have the one to go on the transom. I thought I was going to have to unplug one and then plug the other in, when not using the TM.
Down to the short list now.
Finish the trim over the seam in the floor vinyl as well as around the cup holder opening in the dog house. Done
Anchor the lower section of the dog house Done
Install and wire the batteries for the trolling motor.
Install the Humminbird. Almost done still waiting for parts
Anchor the rear seat storage boxes.
Install the bimini top and make the privacy curtain for the Porttopotty. Done
Secure the trim around the bow floor storage. Done
Install the new tires on the trailer once they arrive. Done
Install the horn. Still waiting for it
WHEW. :target:
Only four things left. Hope the rest of the parts are sitting at home when you get back on Friday.
your moniker is well chosen, sir. you seem to have the same approach to obstacles as a Cat D6......
So are we going fishing or what Awesome restore from start to finish so time to catch some fish. Let me know anytime your heading west and I'll be there. I found a retired guide that would like to tag along for fishing in the Nelson BC area for those huge rainbows. He has pics of 100's of fish in the 10-20 lb mark so he knows how and where to catch them.
Slave lake is an option for something closer or recommend something in Sask and I'll head on down.
PS Did you buy your truck tires in the US as I'm looking at doing the same if I can catch a deal. Also what did the bimini work out to from Quebec as we have to get off the lake early last couple of times from baking too much in the sun.
