:welcome: aboard,

The reason you can't post pics using the forum is that you have to 3 post under your belt first. The rule keeps odd ducks and spammers from dropping pics on us. I use MS OneDrive to post up pics for my threads.

. this was a tough job because I got the boat stripped with no idea what the interior looked like or any trim or hardware to use.... I got the two console "L" pcs, and the splashwell.... and the stringers...that's it!

.... here another shot of the bow... and my fav canine! "sunny"..... I need to make a curtain to hide under the splashwell and get the tach and temp gauges figured out...not working now....a 1989 70 hp pushes the boat......runs strong, but I think it needs a gong through and a tune up... my mechanic said "its too old for me to work on"!!

Well hopefully this works... Feel free to take a gander and let me know what you think! I'm interested in any observations that you make, and advice about issues that you see. It is my impression that this is the original drive system, Ford 302 w/Mercruiser Alpha Gen I? I haven't been able to find much literature about this old boat, but from what I gather this is the Express model.

Well I figured this a great place to post a few pics of my new purchase, picked this up on Saturday for a tad bit under $500 and all it needs is seats and it will be ready to hit the water, no real restoration needed, I have been looking for this boat for close to ten years now. It is a 1973 Starcraft Super Sport 16' with a factory installed 1973 Evinrude 50. Floor is solid, transom is solid, needs seats and cusions and it will be ready for the water. I might do some paint on it in the future, but right now, she is very close to ready to go.

Everybody was telling me, I needed become a member of the Starmada!

:)

So my twenty year old son calls me the other day, "I found my boat, but it's going to need some work." We are thinking '65 or 66' Dolphin/ Nassau. The '80 Johnson 35 hp runs better than it looks. She has spent the last 25 years as a duck boat. Not sure where this is going to lead, but looking for input and thoughts.
