The boat was a mess when I got her. Still is but cleaned it up inside alot. Owner used it to store everthing and never cleaned out garbage. Now she has a chance. So much to do. Thanks for the help with the links to upload some photos.

Oh boy we get to guess what's under the cover! I love this exercise in SC guessing. ;)

I'll cheat and say that it's a 1967 Imperial V I/O model. :D

Waterman, I think you might be right. Not seeing listings for SC Imperial V in list of SC rebuilds. The paint on th engine and out drive is sothick that Serial number are hard to find. Found several stampings on engine block but serial number is impossible to read. Someone did identify it and it might be original. Many cool origanl goodies or at least to the era of the model. The search light might need slight reworking. suction cup not owrking yet. Right now going through and making list. I might not be able to work on it until spring due to winter approaching and we can get large amounts without warning. :cold: :peach:pole barn going up in spring.

Welcome aboard RJJ,

Looks like you have a Jet, at least to me anyway.

Nice boat. Did the little guy come with it? On the bow, between the light and horn, what is the other chrome piece?

It's a backwards facing vent connected to a 3? Inch tube that appears to go under the floor to the back of the boat, it's hard to figure out these models geez! I thought my vee was a little deeper than the jet? Just from pics on the web anyway

Circular saw but set the blade shallow so you don't cut clear through the bottom. That's happened lots around here.

Might be better asking the questions in your resto thread rather than here in the pic thread.

Forgot to add you better wear protective masks and clothing when working on that glass.

I do like the IO model SS, she looks to need a new paint job, hows the interior looking?

That is dirt you see, although the paint is far from perfect. Not overly worried about it as long as it still floats:)

Interior is what you might expect for an old 87, with the seats need the stitching redone. Otherwise a floor section has been replaced and everything works except the speedometer.

PI man
Start a topic about your SS181. You posted pix of it here 3 times: April, June and now

The SC guys are like moths to a flame for tin boat topics so start one. ;)

Here's my '65 Jetstar repurposed as a tiller back troller. I did this in '08 and am thinking about a wider, deeper boat. (More pics next post)
