My little Starcraft (13'.6") is just a plain fishing boat (utility?), anyway,
it has no manufacturer I.D. plate showing the model. It is a 1972-73 year model from what other pictures I could find to ID by. Does anyone have a good link to a site that has Starcraft models of these years with pictures?
Mine is just a plain open Vee-hull with three seats that bolt to brackets on the sides.

Thanks to anyone for your help!

North Beach is one of our Starcraft specialist. Post a pick and he might have a brochure on it...

How's this? It's from the 71 brochure (newest one I have). Most of my brochures are from the 60's.

Looks like you got a seafarer. Hope this helps, and sorry for the slow response. Work keeps getting in the way of my playing:D

Hey mmf! I have the same boat. Mine is a 1973 14ft. and I just completed restoring it. You can see the link in my signature. I've already had it in the waterway and Cape Fear river several times and you can't beat it for a smooth sailing aluminum jon boat. If you need any pointers on the restoration hit me up. Good luck!

It's almost lookin like BOB VT's '63 resto....

The three transom knee braces you have give it distinctive characteristics.

Thanks for the pictures North Beach! The only difference I see is mine
has 3 knee braces but in the pictures, They show only 1 knee brace? Is there another model showing similar features that
show 3 knee braces??

Thank you!

Re: Starcraft model Identification

forgot to say, previous owner had sawn off 2 knee brace extensions not shown in my pictures. It is the part that bolts through the transom wood.
I have the sawn pieces and will re-attach. I also notice it gives the center measurments in your pictures and none of the models shown, list 13 feet 6 inches as the center length. Mine definately is 13' 6" long in the center.

I'd say maybe someone has added knee braces along the way. And again, my brochure is from 71, not 70 and we see subtle differences in models from one year to the next.

Re: Starcraft model Identification

I just bought a 1972 Starcraft Seafarer 14 foot boat with 3 bench seats. It seems identical to the one in the brochure posted above by North Beach. However, I am unable to read the specs on this picture. Perhaps the resolution on my screen isn't very good, but I tried enlarging it and it is just a blur.

I'm really interested in seeing what the max hp rating is for my boat. When I looked it up under the Starcraft Boats id section, it shows 20hp max. But, then when I look up subsequent years of the same model, they all say 30hp. I'm wondering if it is a typo or if the 1972 model was rated for lower hp for some reason. I realize that there may have been a change in design that might account for this, but the dimensions of the baots seem to go unchanged, so I'm still wondering. The boat came with a 25hp Evinrude and the guy I bought it from says that this is the only motor they ever ran on the boat and that it is a great match, so I'm assuming it is safe to run this motor on this boat. Still, I am very interested in knowing what the max hp rating is for the 1972 14' Seafarer, so if anybody can read these specs in the picture above or if North Beach wouldn't mind checking on it for me, I would much appreciate the help.

I just got this boat recently and haven't had it in the water yet. Just got my registration back from Texas Parks and Wildlife today, so now I'm legal and will be looking for the first opportunity to get to the water with it. I will look forward to interacting with you guys as I attempt to build this boat into a nice fishing rig.

More Starcraft model Identification, please?

Here's another Starcraft Mystery, lads & lasses: I recently aquired the boat seen in the pics. Can you guys tell me something about it? The guy I got this from thinks it's a 1952....I'm wondering what model it is, & what is the rated horsepower for it, etc etc.? Any & all help will be greatly appreciated

Jgeist, Looks like you have the 16 foot Supersport. Here's a copy of page 31 from the 72 brochure. Hope this helps and welcome to iboats.....
