Some time ago I was reading a post/reply by I believe DozerII and it showed a pic of what I think was a 18 or 19 and a 21. Anyone recall this pic? If so could you post a link. Or links to any other pics that show a similar comparison.

Thanks

I think dozerII was showing the differences in V5 and lapstrake hulls. A V5 has a narrower bow.

When I was doing research a couple years ago I found this pic online. Says it's a 71 Starchief vs a 74 Chieftain. Big difference there. And from the pic, I'd say that's not the largest Chieftain available. ;)

The pic above shows the 24' Chief and a 18' Chief.

I think I know the pic you're talking about, it was with a 26' Islander and a 19' Islander with a 16' tinny in the pic as well.

Strange to have 2 footitis before even having a smaller boat.

I found the thread I was thinking of and it's astor 261 V Islander and an 18' SS in the turtle position. The Islander makes the SS look like a row boat. Not quite what you're lookingfor but here's the pic.

Haha, I will be yes. Just not sure if I should share here or start a "Restoration" thread.

Pic taken at about 5am last Thursday after travelling 900ish KM's of a 1300ish KM's round trip. Made good time 22 hrs. there and back.

More to come in the next few days......

here is a shot of 3 of my starcrafts..... Im up to 4 now
the closest boat(blue) is a 1971 21ft Islander....stripped. the middle boat is a 180SS from the early 80s, stripped, the furthest boat is a 1982 22ft Holiday V5...its actually bigger than the islander...even though from this angle..it doesn't look it... the holiday is sitting on the ground!
