I have looked through brochures posted and pictures but can't really nail it down. The seller thinks 1968 but I'm thinking 64 Bahamas maybe

None, that's the problem, I'm trying to figure out what I can put back on it and it seems you guys are the only source of info on the boats

I found a couple of older Johnsons but I literally have no idea what my limitations are

1963 Lancer, also up to a 75hp

Johnson/Evinrude 75hp triple cylinder would be a good outboard power to weight

I found it was rated for 15 to 75 hp but what if I find a motor what specs as in short shaft or long shaft?

Per the last pix I posted, it should be a short shaft transom.

Measure yours to be sure:

Ok! Thanks for your help on this... Really appreciate it. Seems as though Indiana doesn't contain hardly any used 75 hp triples lol. Seeing a lot of 50 hp sea horses and such though

Between now and April, motors should be plentiful as guys pull old and swap to new. Winter is a good time to buy boating stuff. Hard to test fire an outboard though.

Think be any harm to put something around a 50hp on it? Just using it for leisurely river afternoons.

Anything from 35-75HP will push it fine. 50-75 would be ideal. A '79 or newer Evinrude/Johnson 70 would be wonderful. Excellent parts support on those motors.

Anyone know a good way to match original paint? This color is what I'm looking for ?

Kinda doubt you will be able to match faded 53 year old paint. And it's probably 53 year old faded gelcoat, not paint. It won't be easy to match.

Well I've seen others that look like they've been repainted to match fairly close and just figured somebody had it figured out lol
