Seat pedestals

Hello guys, I just picked up a 1978 StarCraft Super sport. I am going to rip out the back to back seats and go with two seats on pedestals. For you guys that went this route how many inch pedestals did you go with? I was thinking 12 inch. I am going to have a top made that snaps on the windshield so don't want to tall of seats. haha..

What length SS do you have? The 16's are shorter than the bigger ones.

The best thing is to take the seat and stack some objects under it so you can custom adjust the height or get an adjustable pedestal. Just make sure it's rated for helm use.
