Rot Repair in bulkhead... advice?

this is a repost of something i put in the hull repair section.

See attached photo at bottom of post:

I have a cuddy cabin, and I noticed a soft spot in the wall, where my left foot would be while driving, when cleaning the other day.
After some gentle poking, I noticed its a little bigger than just the spot.

The deck is fiberglass, and the wall seems to be some kind of wood that just sits on top of the deck. Does anyone have any experience with replacing this bulkhead?

I had plans to refinish the doors this winter anyway as they are getting moldy/ mildewed and wont stay clean. It would be nice to do it all at once.

Can anyone give me any pointers? This is my first hull repair that isn't a fuel tank repair (floor patch).

Thanks for any help, in advance!

Not really a tip, but I would seriously consider replacing with fiberglass sheet that you can buy from McMaster Carr. Fortunately the bulkhead in my boat is fibergalss with solid lexan doors.
