sears 12 ft fiberglass model 617.60101

I have a 12 foot Sears fiberglass boat that I am trying to get information on. It's model number is all that is useful that can be read on the information plate. I can read Sears and the number and that is all. Teh model number is 617.60101.

Does anyone know how to find boat information based on the model number? This site only goes back to 1972 and I am getting the impression that it is older than that.

My Dad bought a Sears Roebuck 12' fishingboat back in I think 1970. It was fiberglass over foam, white hull/ translusant white inside, seafoam vinyl seats. I have the boat currently and am fixing it up.The info I have on the coast guard plate is: Sears Roebuck, model 617.601012, max engine HP is 10, 3.1 persons @ 150 lbs, max weight persons and gear is 600lbs. He had a Mercury 10 hp motor originally on it but it was sold before we bought it back. Currently, I am repairing the fiberglass inside and hull in hopes to fish in it next year.
