Awesome! I'll post a different boat project thread. So, I'm guessing I should post that thread in the SeaNymph branded forum? I went to look at the Completed Boat Projects forum (http://forums.iboats.com/forum/boat-repair-and-restoration/completed-boat-projects) but it seems like every thread in there is closed. Is that forum no longer in use?

Sea Nymphs are very similar but there arent as many rebuilds as there are Starcrafts. Look thru topics in that forum, lots of info that will be helpful

Good Morning, new member here!
Should be wrapping up a deal on a 1990 GLS 195 with a Johnson 70 tomorrow.
Attached a picture from the Craigslist ad.






Haven't had a boat since 2008. Previous boat was a 1985 Checkmate.(pic attached)
Replaced the floor and reupholstered the seats in the Checkmate .


So glad to find this forum!
Hope floor is OK on the Seanymph. If not I may have some questions.

**What issues if any should I look for with this boat other than the floor/foam? Oil injection too!!**

Nice looking GS you found, should be a pretty good fishing platform. Check the transom for rot too, they seem to go pretty quick in the SNs with the transom wood encased in the AL.

Ok, so who all had their Sea Nymphs in the water on Labor Day? I did! Took my wife fishing and discovered I should have invested in a landing net when I lost a large catfish as I was lifting it into the boat. :facepalm:

Hey guys, I am new to this forum and I figured I would put up a picture of my nymph she is a fm-160 D. I just replaced all the wood and carpets. Just wondering if anyone has extended there front platform before on one of these models?

Not on that exact model but my SS160 had the short deck as well that I extended back to the front of the side console and added an in deck cooler too..

Thank you watermann! Just wondering if you went with aluminum for support or wood? And did you take the wood floor up and run you're supports from the cross beams or just to the wood floor? Yours looks awesome and I like the cooler idea to. What size motor do you run? I have a 50 rude and I get an even 30mph out of her now.

I shortened the front deck section to where half the bulkhead was exposed for the back section ply to be supported. I used angle AL on the side of the hull for support. The center is supported by a ply box I made to house the cooler. The ply I used for the upper deck is some real solid 3/4" marine ply.
