Thanks! I have been very pleased with it. Top speed of 39 mph with 2 people but will still hit 37 mph with 5 people. Has a stainless steel Viper prop, not sure what the pitch is, would have to look. While idling by some other boats Tuesday I heard a comment "That's an old boat......but it has a new motor!" :D

Thinking about using next year's tax refund to spruce it up a bit. All of the mechanicals are new, so time to make the rest of the boat look that way.
Speaking of that, what alternatives are out there to the plywood decking? Would like to replace the carpet covered plywood with some kind of strong plastic decking that I could put a non-slip finish on.

Not sure I know of any decking like that, a properly sealed plywood deck and a cover for the boat when not in use will net you oh I dunno 30 - 40 years of service.

Hi, Chris here. Happy to find this community. This is my first post, if it goes through.
Just bought a '94 Sea Nymph tx155 15' Trophy fisherman. Has OG 30hp Johnson.

All runs, doesn't take on much water. The carpet is threadbare in spots and has some shoddy patches hangin on with rusty staples. The subfloor foam is a little squishy in spots and the seat vinyl is disintigrated.
I've installed a stereo, bow trolling motor (transformed transom mount 50 lb Minn Kota Endura)

We cruise the Susquehanna and it has nasty shallows so I'm putting a Mac's River Runner on the skeg.

It has a serious deficit of drink holders so I must fix that.

Have fun out there!

Took these pics on the Halifax river near Ponce Inlet, FL a week after Hurricane Irma. It was the first of only two times I have been able to get the 'Nymph in the water since Irma due to high water levels from the hurricane. Virtually all the boat ramps have been closed, they are just now starting to be reopened so hopefully I will get it back in the water this weekend.

I bought a 89 195 GLS with a 70hp last year. It?s a solid boat. She just needed cleaned up and a little TLC. I didn?t get to do any fishing from it this year but it did prove to be a great boat to take the family out in. I just removed the 70hp and put a 140hp on it. It hasn?t seen the water since I just swapped it last week. Does anyone have a 195 GLS with a 140hp on it? I?m curious on how it?s going to run. Once I figure out how to upload pictures that aren?t to big I will post a couple.

I have a 140 Merc on my 18' Starcraft V5 SS which is fairly similar and the motor is perfect for it, great hole shot and with the right trim out I get 45 MPH with it.

I think going double on HP will make you very happy with your SN.

Jmitch,
I have a GLS 195 with a Merc Optimax 115 with a quad blade prop and love it. We top out at 35ish, cruising at 25ish and gas mileage is outstanding.
