Just purchased my first boat over the weekend and thought it would be smart to join a forum for tips advice and such.
I picked up a 1975 Ranger bass boat with a 1976 evinrude 70 horse. The guy hooked his water hose up and the engine fired right up. Everything is in good shape considering 35 years of use. The seats have all been redone not to long ago. The carpet need something done with it. It came with a trolling motor and finder. I couldn't pass it up at $700.
I'm wondering about what to use to get some of it's luster back. the original copper color is faded to a silver color. I don't care about getting the old color back just to spruce it up and protect it.
Also, is it possible to take out the carpet and use a roll on bed liner or is that a good idea?
