Has anyone installed a SeaStar system on his boat? If so, how difficult is the installation and is it worth it?

Re: SeaStar Hydraulic Steering

There is not much to the system to install it basiclly two lines from the helm to the engine is going to be the only difficult part. The engine bracket is simple to install and the helm comes with a templet to do the cut out if you need more room.
They are worth every penny! Zero feedback and you can let go of the wheel and it will stay in one spot until you turn it

Re: SeaStar Hydraulic Steering

My kit came a few days. Looks to be top qualitly. The only problem is that the 18' hoses are too short, even after ordering per the measuring instructions (including adding 2' as directed).

I ordered a set of 20' and 22' hoses to make sure I was covered in case I filnd a better way to route the hoses. Of course, the two sets not needed are going back.
