i have one of those racks that fits into the hitch receiver. if i fit em in together just right, all 3 seats and the transom will fit on the rack and still allow the Taco tailgate to open fully. i think front and center seats in 1st level then rear and transom on top. i bungee the oars to eyebolts in side of my camper shell along with the gaff, net, bimini poles and other "long" stuff. outboards go in truck bed, wrapped in contractor bags to minimize the gas odor and 2-stroke oil slime
duffel bag will work fine. many of the bigbox places have big mesh bags for storing life jackets balls etc, and these might be good since they let seats dry.
