I just purchased this boat and wondering what should I do to it. Restore? Upgrade and modify? I don't know. I am just glad I am a boat owner! First one that is! I will be adding pictures in a moment.

First off.. WELCOME to iboats! Nice looking boat. What size motor is hanging on it? She is in overall good condition. I suggest restoring it. What problems does she have?

DRS4164, I think the motor is a 80 HP. I need to replace the wood in the transom and repaint it, sphelps.

The splash well should just un screw making it easy to get to the inside of the transom for replacement .. I replaced mine with seacast . I figured the boat has no wood for the deck and stringers why not make the whole structure without wood .. Your transom should be curved a little . If you go with wood you can maintain the curve using 4 layers of 3/8 ply laminated one at a time ...

The splash well on mine is integral with the gunwale cap. Which is good. And bad. Good for now but maybe not later when wood needs replace. Ugh
