Capacity plate missing???? need to find a new 1

i own a mfg 1977 gypsy star with 120hp omc 4 cl and the capacity plate is missing from the transon n or by the shifter n i was told any boat after 1972 should have 1 at least in ohio so i would appreciate your help i try the owner manual n have done research online havent had any luck this community is my last resort .

Welcome to iboats.

You can have replacements made once you establish the correct numbers for the boat. Your specific model can be researched here for HP Boat Manufacturers and you can consult the USCG regulations for loading capacity...... BTW the USCG figures one person = 150 lbs so a boat will be rated 600 lbs OR 4 Persons as an example

If your just trying to figure out how many people you can have on board the USCG formula is:


Max Number of Persons = Boat Length X Boat Width/15
