Just wanted to jump in and say hello. I just purchased a 1995 Maxum 1700XR with the Force 120 outboard. This is my first power boat. The boat and motor are in great shape and were well taken care of by the previous owner. Garage kept since new, you'd think it was only a few years old.
We did get a sea-trial before buying, but the family and I are looking forward to taking it out for the first time. I have the boat-ramp jitters, especially with the holiday weekend coming up. I'm sure the lake will be mobbed. Hopefully the other boaters will understand that this is my first time out.
