Bow/side lights

I am thinking of eliminating plugging in a bow light everytime the sun goes down. I am thinking of adding seperate side lights (red/green possibly LED) . There isnt enough room for a stationary bow light (due to trolling motor mount).
Anyone do this on an Alum boat or is this a BAD idea....

Thanks for the input-pics references.. Thanks..

Re: Bow/side lights

Seems like a good idea especially if you use your lights often enough. I'd have to look at my boat seems similar to your (although mine is a bit smaller) I would think there would be room for the light in the stock location, as long as it is a small unit.

Any reason you have to unplug your bow light? I pretty much leave mine in all the time. I do take out the stern light, it can get in the way while fishing.
