HI, I hope someone can figure out this boat? Lund has no record of the serial number, and it was sold as a 73 I/O VFR to me. It has the 74 graphics, (no stars), but does not have the 74 side air vents. Unlike the 72, 73 or the 74, the motor shroud is different than in the catalog and there is room for jump seats like the Tyee's of those years, maybe an option? The blue with blue interior was only offered in 74, so this is making me wonder what is going on? Does anyone here have a Canadian version VFR I/O? I had thought that all Lund aluminium boats were made in Steinbach, Manitoba, Canada at the time, but I am not sure?

No idea based on the info given, but how about some pix of your boat too. That might help someone ID it....

Here is my boat! Different motor housing, and the vinyl goes right to the back like a 73 but has the space for jump seats, and it all looks factory? It's in the shed for the winter so I can't show a better pix.

I didn't know any Lunds were made anyplace but MN, you learn something new everyday.

And a tidbit - my dad still uses a S14 he bought new in 1961.

I would guess that Lund just was not too picky about what they did. I have a 1975 Tyee and it has some of the 1975 features but also some of the 1974 features if I look at the photos in the brochures for the 2 years. Early production or late production? Who knows? Maybe a shortage of some parts so they used parts for another model? That might explain the doghouse and jump seats.
