2006 FS175 - Carpet falling apart

Hey all,

I have a 2006 FS175, The boat is fairly lightly used but the carpet is falling apart, mainly at the edges.

Is this common?

I know the boat is no 7 years old, but I wouldn't think the carpet would be falling apart. I do keep the cover on it 95% of the time.

I have a 2011 and the seams are lifting in a couple of spots. After I vacuumed it. But the carpet itself is not falling apart.
