Re: Larson Shark **All Years** trihull boat

First Welcome. We would love to see some pics. I acquired a 72 Shark about a month ago that needs interior.

That sure is a nice looking 165 Shark! We just bought one a couple of weeks ago at Rawhide. I can see she'll need some work to bring her into shape like yours! Larson says ours is a 1967 model. The motor is a 1971 125hp Johnson. Doesn't have any spark, so that's the first thing I'm going to fix after I get her home. Looks like I'm missing the original drivers and passengers double seats. We are in Manitoba, so we have a 2 day trip ahead of us going to get her!

1968 Larson Shark 165.jpg This is my 1968 Larson Shark 165. It's been super hard finding any others out there. I called Larson last week with the hull ID number and even they had a hard time identifying the model! It's a great little boat and is in super condition. I'll shine her up a bit, replace the carpet and install comfy new reclining seats.

Hi. I have a 1977 Larson Shark 155 with an 85hp Evinrude. Am redoing the interior, including flooring and some 'subflooring' boards. It had back-t0-back (replacement) seats in it, which are in good shape, but too large - won't recline, and not much room between them. I'm wondering if anyone can tell me the dimensions of the original back-to-back seats? Will post some photos soon... Thanks!

I realize this is an old, post, but a good archive thread for anyone searching the great interweb for info on Larson Sharks. Here are the few pics I have at work of my 1978. I'll have to get a pic of the finished interior when I get home. I've tried to make it into a home-made fish/ski package. I built a box that drops into the bow footwell that hold battery and has pedestal seat base. When I want to take the fam out I can just lift the box out of the footwell. Trolling motor is removable too. This was a lightly used boat and ran pretty good when I got it, I replaced fuel lines and rebuilt carbs and now she starts and runs like new. Also did the bimini top thing. Now that I've done all this, now I want a bigger boat!!! :)

photo278004.JPG 1974 Larson Shark 1600. 1974 merc 650. I found this boat for $50 on Craigslist. Guy just wanted it out of his driveway. I figured I couldn't go wrong. Looked solid.
Got it all redone and back on the water!

I'm trying to replace my bow light on my 1968 Larson Shark 165 but i'm not sure how to get in the bow where the wires are running. Also, i'm trying to figure out the wiring for all the electrical but my grandfather was the only one who knew where anything went. Any suggestions?
