I want to get rid of binding steering cable and replace with hydraulics.
Has anyone done this with a Baystar system on a 15' KW?

If you have a 15' Key West with hyd. steering what brand and model is it?
thanks

I don't have the 15' Key West, I have the 19' center console that I am interested in installing hydraulic steering. If I come across any pertinent information for either installation I will post information here. I hope you will do the same. Especially make, model and unit size . . . and if you installed it or had a dealer do the installation.

Melvin, I could not find a hyd. unit to fit my 15' KW. Not enough room in motor well, so I just installed another rack steering unit.
I do have a 20' KW that came with hyd.steering, a Baystar unit. Works great, once you have hyd you will never go back to rack. Sort of like trim tabs that i love on the 20'.
I think you will find that it would be worth the effort and money to go for the hyd. steering.
