I have 1999 Javelin renedage bassboat. What is the propure location of the transducer. I have a Garman 540series. Right now it is on the back of the boat on the right side. My problem is I have to come to a complete stop for the sonar to work. It is hard to put the transdure on that boat. There is three different redges on the back of the boat. I hope this will help!!
Thank Scott

Re: Location of transducer

Hi schwartzf3:

I have a '99 Renegade 20. Have installed transducers for Lowrance X68C and Garmin 250. They both work well at 50 + mph. The main thing to care is that your transducer be for high speeds otherwise it will go astray at less than 30 mph.
Where can I send you pictures of the location I finally found to be the best as well as what was done to have the transducer aligned with the hull ??
Regards,

Re: Location of transducer

Sorry to make this old post resurface but I am having a difficult time trying to find a location for my transducer on my 396FS. Has anyone had to put a transducer on something similar to the 396? If so, what kind and where did you mount it?
