Just bought a 99 Hurricane 228R. It has NO navigation lights and I need to add them. Has receptacle on front which I assume is for a front pole type light, but I cannot find anything on rear that would be for the light. Thanks for any information you can provide.

I would tend to doubt that the 228R uses a pole for its forward nav lights but I guess anything is possible. Most Hurricanes and other boats in this class have the forward nav lights port and starboard. That being said most marine stores have a variety of add-on nav lights, some of which clamp to the railing others use suction cups and so on (if you are looking for a quick fix). As far as the aft nav light. Most but not all earlier Hurricanes have the stern light attached to and wired through the back rib of the bimini. I have seen a couple of 228R config'ed this way. Clamp-on stern lights are also available if you aren't up for a wire job. BTW, these are USCG approved.

Hope this helps.
