I just purchased 1970 Gulfstream Runabout 18ft with Chevy 6 engine and Mercruiser Alpha one sterndrive.
Q1. I see a tear on shfit cable boot (starboard side) when I trim out.
Will it cause the water to leak into the boat?
Q2. Is it safe to take the boat to pacific ocean near Pacifica or 10 miles far from San Francisco Bay if I go out only on max 6 feet swell and below 10 knots of wind, and no mixed swells?
