Hello,
I just put my newly rebuilt Mercury XR4 150 hp on my 1995 Glastron SSV 170. I've got about 6 hours on the engine now and its running fine but I have what I believe is a chine walk problem. Please take a look at the video link below.
Because of this I just raised the engine yesterday so that the cavitation plate is approximately 3/4" above the bottom of the boat. This did seem to help slightly.
Does anyone have experience with something similar?
Thank you.
