Recently acquired 1972 18 ft Fiberform I/O. Mercruiser 140, MC-1 outdrive
I haven't seen any other boats of this year and style. So I thought I'd post some pics In case someone else might have one like it and need to share some info.
I picked this up around Spokane and towed it home.
It was sitting in a barn and was last registered in 09.
Still going thru it, I started it and it runs nice.

Restoration nearing completion on my 1975 Fiberform Sportsman 21. Original OMC 235 power.
Very thankful that the to-do list gets smaller every year!

VE8EV, love that green! Some really nice old Fiberforms in this thread. That 28 with updated galley and swim platform is quite stately. With luck I'll be posting a pic in here too, we're on the hunt.

1976 Fiberform 2425 Bermuda. It has definitely seen better days. It was my grandfathers and I was just given it (inherited) after it spent the last 8 years sitting on the trailer in the northern Nevada desert. Hope I can get it on the water by next spring. Likely needs a new lower drive, if not an entire new outdrive.

I picked up what I believe to be a 1978 Fiberform but Im not sure of the model. Here are some pics of the restoration to date. The only thing left is the seats and some engine work. It has a 327 with a mild cam and it 17.5' in length. Enjoy...

Does it have a HIN number? It kind of looks a bit like a Fiberform Waikiki converted to an I/O but I don't think that's what it is.

It appears to be either a Westporter or a San Juan. They changed the styling in 1975 and added those funky stripes on the hull. Not sure if someone added those after the fact or if your boat was manufactured late in 74 before the body change (mostly the upper window arrangement) but got the new stripes anyway. A few more pics would pin it down.

Good luck on the restoration, those old Fiberform boats are built to last. :thumb:

1976 24ft what I think is a 2450 Bermuda or a Cruiser because of the bow windows. I've not had this boat hit the water since I've owned it in 2 years. Pulled the 351 due to cracked block and by next month I'm fitting in a 5.7. She's got a 25 hp Merc kicker.

Yup, just got a '72 Fiberform Tri hull 18 footer, outboard, I think the model is the "BeachComb"(er). Came with a Johnson 70.that pushed it at about 28 MPH on test ride. Going to replace it with a Johnson 115, hoping to get 35+ and cruise at 30. Prior owner selling it because it didn't really fit into his boat lift at the lake. I saw his lift. He got a 15 foot tri hull that is a perfect fit for his lift.

My 72 Tri-Hull Fiberform 18, space-wise, feels like a 2000's 24 foot pontoon boat had a love child with a 16 foot bass boat. Yes, rough ride in chop. Everything else about these tri hulls is pretty awesome.

Getting rid of my '74 Seaswirl 16 foot Tri Hull outboard, going to swap motors first. Noticed during the test ride that the Fiberform 18 ran a lot smoother on light chop than the Seaswirl 16. Also, the Fiberform 18 is an open bow model, and the extra 2 feet is all in the front seating area. The Fiberform 18 will seat 6 very comfortably, and as many as 9, not that I would do such a thing as pack 9 people in. Now the 70's "Harvest Gold" color I'm not wild about, but next summer it might just get a lime green top and black hull repaint. It even came with a galvanized trailer, a requirement for Puget Sound saltwater use.

The Seaswirl 16 tri hull was awesome in calm water, but a rugged ride with any chop and had a closed bow/storage instead of open bow seating. Loved it aside from that. Towed a dead pontoon boat a couple miles home with it in Puget Sound this summer.

Wish me luck with the Fiberform 18 Tri Hull. Transom feels solid, whole boat seems solid.
