One of my winter projects is to add an extended swim platform to my 2000 270 SC. Just looking for advice and the pro's and con's to whether to install the new platform on top of the existing platform or extended on the stern. Thoughts? I can order it either way. Thanks!

Only ones I've seen and used on another's boat was the ones which sit on top of. They worked out fine, and only issues were bolts were not long enough

I've been looking at extended swim platforms for 2002 Doral 270 sc. Only ones I've found were the extended to the stern type. Do you have suggestions on the 'over the existing platform' options? I'd much prefer not to have a step down from existing platform to the new one. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have looked at two companies (Canadian) that have versions that are molded and go on top of the existing.

http://www.yourswimplatforms.com
http://www.transform-plus.com

Both reasonably priced.
