Doral 250 SE (2001) - Buyers Advice?

Hello all,

I'm new here and looking for some advice. I need some suggestions for things to look out for when buying a 2001 250 SE. Any common problems (specific to the 250 SE or general Doral issues), things to check, watch out for etc.

Water in the cabin. My skylights started leaking and it can ruin the interior and cause mould issues. I caught mine early. It's a pain job (took me three+ hours) what with eight million screws and cleaning the old caulking out. I used a vinyl caulk as it is rated for underwater (purchase at a hot tub or pool place). Not cheap, but worth the money.

Engine hours, rubber boot on the transom.... so many things...

Basically anything that a survey would check. You might want to have one done. Have you found a boat or just starting your search?

Getting Doral specific items is tough as they continue to have reopening issues after they went under (again) in 2012.
