Here's some of our baby !!!!
Seems like we have owned her forever. 1985 Doral 164 with 1985 140HP Johnson Looper carried by an E-Z loader roller trailer of 1985 vintage also.
Towed currently by a 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer 4.2 litre V6 fitted with a 10,000lb transmission cooler and electric brake controller.

Would Mrs. Ken let you park it in the driveway? Top Rack would likely give you a good deal on a matching trailer

We would have to trade the house for it, maybe the cottage and the trailer as well !!! so we would not have a driveway.

Well, that's the end of that then...you need the driveway for the 164
of course, you could always get a Cavalier...

We both kind of want something we can go for some weekends on and we may just get something this coming season if the right thing comes along. The children although all grown up (22 to 28 years old and 5 of them) all complain bitterly at even the slightest hint of getting a different boat. They all cut their teeth on our Doral. All learned to ski behind it, all learned how to handle a boat and the safety aspects of boating on it, all caught their first fish on board and most of all they all have great family memories with this boat.
So bottom line it would have to be an additional boat not a different boat. But you can bet it will be a Doral if it happens !!!

1990 Doral Prestancia. Owned since 2005 or 2006 Cant recall... I love it. I live outside of Atlanta Georgia. Currently modifying an older trailer I owned to take a trip down the TN river and down to the coast some time in the future.

Nice Looking Prestancia. I have a 90 also, we remodeled the whole interior last winter, took all the headliner down and replaced it in the entire cabin as well as reupholstered the AFT Cabin and V-Berth. I replaced the refrigerator, hot water heater, head and sanitary lines throughout boat. This winter's projects are to remodel the cockpit, last spring I had the L-shapped lounge rebuilt it had pretty much rotted when I took it out it went to sawdust. That was a big expense to have rebuilt and reupholstered. This winter we are reupholstering the rest of the items in the cockpit. In the fall I tried to get ahead on my spring launch by componding the whole boat and putting a coat of was on it. We also had to replace the horn and remote spotlight last year. I also replaced the lights in the radar arch to LEDS and added 2 Blue LEDS in the Arch made by Barnegat and a few LEDS in the sides of the cockpit. I also had to replace the city water adapter as the previous owner did not winterize properly and it was split on the inside. I ended up replacing the transom shower all together as it was inoperable. Also just replaced the plastic pieces on the companionway door where it slides in the tracks a few weeks ago. Doral gave me the manufacturer for who built their doors.

So I guess to sum up everything above, if you ever have any questions, I have gutted the entire boat just about to replace this and that. Looking forward to spring after I get the cockpit put back together and my Swim Platform repainted and textured with our new Dinghy Davits.
