Prestancia / Monticello hull material - solid fiberglass or balsa cored

Looking to buy a late 1989 or 1990 Prestancia or Monticello and was wondering about the hull material. Are they solid glass in this vintage or are they using balsa core? Any other specific issues to look out for on these boats of this age?

welcome aboard

many boats in the late 80's used balsa for the floor and plywood for the transom/stringers/bulkheads

as with any 30 year old boat, check for rot

All Doral boats of any year are Balsa cored everywhere.
