Before you skewer me about other threads...I've read them...
I was hoping to talk to other Crestliner owners about our specific boat and if anyone has done what I am thinking about.
I just purchased a 2005 14' Sportsman Series boat and want to know about the foam in the back two boxes (seats). I want to remove the foam in the port side box so that I can hinge the top and use it for storage. The center seat is filled with foam and so is the right aft seat that I sit on to drive the tiller. anyone do this and should I do it? I will mainly fish small rivers and lakes here in the Pacific NW and an occassional day on the sound.

Re: 14' SS Storage

Welcome to the forum!!:):)
The foam is there to provide floatation in the event your boat capsizes. You will not find anyone who has any boating knowledge tell you to remove the foam. It was placed there for a very important reason, keep the boat floating while you wait for rescue. Find a different way to get storage for your boat.
