I am totally new to this site and need advise on buying. I have always boated but we are considering stepping up to a 1985-1990 50' Constellation now so that when we retire in a few years it will be ready to go. I have never owned larger than a 40' and never owned diesels. Anything that anyone out there can tell me to look out for would be helpful. As I said I know general boating but not Chris Crafts (actually my Dad had one in 1967 but I don't count that). I usually remodel anything I get and redo the electrical system and do most of my own engine work. Feel free to tell me if You think I am out of my mind or if I made a bad choice in which model to look for.
