I am considering purchasing a 1994 Chris Craft Concept for $11,200. -- the boat has been well maintained & looks immaculate, but I'm not sure about the engine & I/O. The seller lists it as "330 HP 454 w/ King Cobra IO". I've been tying to do research on this, but I'm more confused than ever?! Is this an OMC or a Volvo Penta drive? How can I find out? If it is OMC, is this unit obsolete? How long can these outdrives last if they have been properly maintained? I read in another forum that OMC drives aren't bad as long as they have the updated red transom shift cable -- is that true? If so, how do I know if this boat has the updated shift cables?
