Well I went out on a buddy's boat the other day, so i decided to buy one.
Its a 1987 Chaparral 215 xlc. it has 300 hours on it. needs a lil bit of interior work but nothing i cant handle. tell me what ya think. I was wondering what wood be the best plywood to use for the interior panels? Pressure treated or the marine ? whats the difference?
Thanks

Re: My First Boat

I used exterior grade plywood on my internal pieces. I primed them with an external latex primer and then used an exterior latex house paint. You cant see any of it after you recover it with the vinyl. You could use pressure treated but it needs to dry out after you buy it. And its prone to warp if you dont have it on a flat surface with weight on top of it. Marine ply is expensive but good quality extremely low moisture content.
