Thanks in advance for any help. I have a 2001 280 SSI. Love the boat, especially the double helm seat. For this years model, however, it has a failry screwy "flip" up bolster. I've never been able to really use it, it doesn't really flip up, just sort of hinges up in the middle of the seat. The later models have a "conventional or modern" flip up bolster. Looking at other boats in the showroom, it appeared I could just swap out the lower portion of the helm seat, old screwy to newer flip up. For two years (the last two falls), I posed this question to our dealer who never followed up with me. Today I called the factory for help, they said they would call back. Anyone out there ever addressed this before? It seems the all of their double helm boats have essentially the same seat and have had for years.
