1985 Century 2000

I've got a friend that's looking at buying a 1985 century "2000". She said its a 18 foot boat with a open bow, 305 mercruiser I/o (200) horse. Bottom end of motor only has 200 hrs on it and it's in prefect condition. (Motor replaced when it wasn't winterized properly a few years ago) can anyone tell me anything about this boat? Her husband wants a newer boat but my experience with these dee century's is they can last forever! My parents first boat was a 1974 century Arabian (440 big block v-drive) and I've had several friends with other century's mainly direct drive ones so I'm also inquiring about the out drive units and there durability. Any insight is appreciated. Thanks! Tony
