Question about power trim pump

I have a 1993 Celebrity 21 foot run about. I suspect by son put the boat in the water without the plug as i found a lot of water setting below the motor / inboard-outboard. I drained it out and started looking at the oil. Engine oil looks good / normal. Took the lid off the power trim pump canister and stuck my finger in. Liquid is mostly white color. Still fills like oil. Is that the correct color or do you think i got water in the system?

I don't think this is normal. My power trim fluid looks like clean oil, more golden in color. I've had water in my lower unit before it was replaced and when it mixed with the gear oil it turned milky colored. I think you have some water in with your trim oil.
