New to the forum, but owned the boat for ~15 years (the last 10 sitting!) Edit - Sorry my profile didn't come up, it's a 1989 Spectrum 1900 Fish and ski

Well, have most of the floor out that's going to come out and cut the first piece of plywood to install (specs below), and can't figure out a good way to attach the plywood to the aluminum. Any ideas?

History of repair - rear of boat floors went bad from the hole in the cover where the support stick goes who would of thought it would happen after 10 years of sitting?!?)

- Ripped out the floor to the console - foam is still good
- Bought 1/2" marine grade plywood - plan to resin both sides before
installation
- May redo the consoles as heavy snow last year broke the windshield and
pulled out the meager supports on the dash
- New Carpet
- New bilge pump and piping (while the floor is out)
- Repower from a 1989 Evinrude 70 hp to a 1997 Evinrude 88 hp

Any help would be appreciated! Thank you.

Ken

Sorexcuse,

I would look into the glavanized 'Trumpet Head' screws. These are self tapping and the wide head prevents pull-through. You can find these at Lowes or Home Depot. When you tighten them up, the will be pretty flush.

I used square drive stainless panheads. Since I replaced the carpet with marine vinyl I used thin nylon washer under the head.
